Owner and Coach

Danielle is a high school mathematics teacher at Cedar Creek High School located in Egg Harbor City, NJ.

1. Describe your athletic background.

Sports were my life growing up, and they still are. I played soccer, basketball, and softball in high school and went on to play softball at The College of New Jersey. Over the past ten years, I've coached soccer, basketball, and softball at the high school level. Up until last year, I enjoyed playing in the local women's street hockey and flag football leagues.

2. How and when did you become familiar with CrossFit?

I was introduced to CrossFit in 2014.  After trying it, I knew I was going to love it. I took the leap, joined the local CrossFit gym shortly after, and I haven’t looked back since. CrossFit has changed my life! It has been an amazing journey, and I couldn’t imagine my life without it.

3. What is your most memorable CrossFit moment?

There are so many!  One of the most memorable is getting my first strict muscle up at my Level 1  Certification Course. When I first started CrossFit, I was not even close to being able to do a pull up. Fast forward two years, and I was able to do a strict muscle up! I never thought I would be able to do the things I'm capable of now.

4. What advice would you have for people interested in starting CrossFit?

Do it! Simple as that. It WILL change your life. No matter who you are, what athletic background you have, what level of fitness you are currently, IT DOES NOT MATTER! You have to start somewhere, and this is the best place to start.

5. What inspires you to keep training and become better every day?

You only have one life and one body. It's your job to take care of it; no one is going to do it for you. Also, life is about the journey.  Enjoy the journey! CrossFit provides me with the opportunity to continue to grow and learn. I truly enjoy challenging myself to be the absolute best I can be.

6. What motivates you to be a coach at R.D.T.?

CrossFit has changed my life and quite literally saved my life.  Before I found CrossFit, I was unhappy and unhealthy.  I did not take care of my body. I ate unhealthy, treated my body poorly, and was full of self loathing for the way my body looked. Now, I LOVE my body. I'm so proud of the amazing things my body can do! My experience has motivated me to want to help others, and I am so passionate about changing people's lives.  My goal is to get every one of my clients to a point where they truly love themselves and their body. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to help people become the most fit and healthy versions of themselves so they can live their BEST, most functional life.
